A lot of time we think we have survived past trauma so it is no longer impacting us. However, if we have not processed trauma and, are trying to suppress it that may show up in other ways in our lives. It can manifest itself physically and cause us pain, it can impact our relationships with others, how we see yourself, the barriers we put up. We all deserve to process past trauma to see how it may be showing up for us.
People often associate depression with the inability to get out of bed, difficulty functioning and completing activities of daily living. However depression can also look like having a low frustration tolerance, being more irritable, no longer finding pleasure in activities previously enjoyed and feeling tired or lethargic.
